Introducing “Good News with Lacey Speaks”

A New Thankful Thursday Tradition

When inspiration strikes, it usually finds me mid-journal page . . . and that’s exactly how Good News with Lacey Speaks was born. One Thursday afternoon, while writing about gratitude, abundance, and synchronicities, I felt something shift, like I received a call to share light in a new way.

The Spark

I’ve always loved storytelling and celebrating people who make a difference, but this idea felt different like a merging of my personal mission and my creative calling. I wanted to create a space where love, abundance, connection, energy, and divine design (my L.A.C.E.D. pillars) could come alive through real stories.

So I set up my camera, trusted the flow, and recorded my first episode: Good News with Lacey Speaks | Thankful Thursday Premiere. I shared episode 1 this week and I cannot wait to share episode 2 next Thursday!

The Vision

Each week, Good News will shine light on:

  • Local joy: Dayton stories that remind us of community and creativity.

  • Statewide inspiration: moments of awareness, growth, and restoration from across Ohio.

  • National kindness: proof that love and goodness are still shaping our world.

The goal is simple: to remind us that good things are happening, and to invite everyone watching to look for them in their own lives.

Behind the Scenes

From filming at 1Eleven Flavor House to researching Ohio’s wildlife restoration and spotlighting the story of Mykale Baker in Georgia, I found stories where every detail carried the same frequencies of gratitude, courage, and community.

Closing

I hope Good News with Lacey Speaks becomes part of your Thankful Thursday ritual. Watch it, share it, and let it lift you. Because joy multiplies when we pass it on.
